VAISALA Dew Point and Temperature Probe DMP7 from AI

DRYCAP® Dew Point & Temperature Probe DMP7 at Allied Inst.

Temperature Probe For Remote Installations in Tight Spaces.

Vaisala DRYCAP® Dew Point and Temperature Probe DMP7 is made for tight spaces and low-humidity applications.

Dew Point and Temperature Probe DMP7 Key Features:

  • Dew point measurement range -70 ... +80 °C (-94 ... +176 °F)
  • Dew point measurement accuracy up to ±2 °C (±3.6 °F)
  • Temperature accuracy up to 0.1 °C (0.18 °F)
  • Sensor purge provides superior chemical resistance
  • Withstands condensation, oils, dust and most chemicals
  • Includes traceable three-point calibration certificate
  • Modbus RTU over RS-485 for flexible connectivity
  • Compatible with Indigo series transmitters
  • Long (two-year) calibration interval for easy maintenance

Key Benefits:

Designed for remote installations in tight spaces

DMP7 has a short probe length (41 mm / 1.61 inches) that allows it to be used in installations where space is limited. It also comes with a pressure-tight Swagelok® fitting, making it suitable for installations with pressure between 0 ... 10 bar/0 ... 145 psi.

Fast reaction time and stability at low dew points

The Vaisala DRYCAP® sensor is immune to particulate contamination, water condensation, oil vapor, and most chemicals. The sensor is condensation resistant and recovers perfectly if exposed to water. Its fast reaction time and dependable stability give it unmatched performance even in dynamic and low dew point applications.

Use standalone or with an Indigo Transmitter

Its measurement intelligence and digital Modbus RTU over RS-485 connection within the probe mean that the DMP7 can be used as a standalone device. It can also be easily integrated into other systems.

DMP7 is part of the Vaisala Indigo family, so it can be used with Vaisala Indigo series transmitters. The transmitters offer various additional benefits such as a display for data visualization, easy access to probe configuration, and more extensive options for connectivity, supply voltage, and wiring.

Whether using the DMP7 on its own or with an Indigo transmitter, it can be connected to the free Vaisala Insight software for easy field calibration, probe configuration, and device analytics.

Your team went above and beyond

I just wanted to let you know your team went above and beyond. I requested a replacement valve that needed to meet our new requirements. Dave and James produced a valve that met all my needs. Without the need for a pipe modification. Which will help us with keeping the down time of the equipment low. There was an issue that caused this valve to be needed by Wednesday. These two individuals jumped through hoops to make sure I will have the valve by Wednesday. They also have a backup valve option just in case. The hard work and reassurance helped me convey to my management that your team is crucial to our success. I appreciate everyone that helped.

No calibration needed

Eight years later...no calibration needed! Yokogawa active digital pressure transmitters installed throughout the facility are still in service and have never needed any zero or span adjustment.

Easy and affordable

I Would like to comment on how easy it was to install the new Schubert & Salzer valves that replaced the bigger and heavier globe valves. The spool pieces provided by Shubert made this transition very easy and affordable.
